Course

Precursor is a non-degree course of pain intervention and regenerative therapy brought by alumni association of medical faculty Padjajaran University, (IKA FK-UNPAD). It is affiliated with GULF PAIN SCHOOL from Turki, DARADIA PAIN SCHOOL from India, WIP (World International Pain), IPSC (Interventional Pain and Spine Center) from India, IART (International Association and Regenerative Therapy), INS (International Neuromodulation Society), PERDINI (Perhimpunan Dokter Intervensi Nyeri Indonesia), and many more. Thus, precursor students will be exposed not only to national experts but also best of the best around the globe.

Precursor was started in 2020, the first lecture was in August 2020. It has 3 batches till 2021. The course itself runs within a year. It consists of 2 semesters, each for cognitive theory online learning and practice through hybrid video practice and live practice both with cadavers and real patients under supervision. It takes place with several affiliated hospitals such as Sentra Medika Hospital, RS TNI Ridwan Meuraksa, and RS Polri.

Precursor is actively producing several multi-centers research and paper related pain intervention and regenerative therapy in Indonesia both at national and international levels. For examples, five papers from precursor batch 1 students had been presented at KONKER PABOI 2021, and other in international journal levels (Q1).

Precursor students are varied from different specialties such as anesthesiologist, orthopedic surgeon, neurologist, and medical rehab who interested in pain intervention and regenerative therapy. Soon, precursor will accept the international participants to participate. Precursor is currently held 2 batches per year with each only 35 spots available. Due to high demand, since the second batch precursor requires a preliminary test for entrance purposes conducted by precursors’ faculty/committees.
